By booking a lesson with us through our website www.gradientsnowsport.com or any other method, you, the client, agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
- Definitions
- “We,” “Us,” “Our,” “Instructor”: Refers to Gradient Snowsport.
- “You,” “Client,” “Participant”: Refers to the person making the booking and all individuals participating in the lesson.
- “Lesson”: Refers to the private ski instruction session booked.
- “The Centres”: Refers to The Snow Centre (Hemel Hempstead) and Chillfactore (Manchester).
- Bookings and Payments
- All bookings must be made through our official website booking system.
- A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
- All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
- All prices are in Great British Pounds (GBP) and are subject to change without notice, though prices for confirmed bookings will be honoured.
- Participant Requirements & Safety
- Minimum Skill Level: Skiing involves inherent risks. For safety and insurance reasons, our service is not for complete beginners. Each and every participant must be capable of taking the ski lift unassisted to the top of the slope, able to make controlled, linked turns all the way down (snowplough is sufficient), and be able to stop safely where required.
- Acceptance of Skill Level: By confirming a booking, you acknowledge and guarantee that every member of your party meets this minimum skill requirement.
- Right to Refuse/Terminate: The instructor reserves the right to refuse to teach or terminate a lesson at any point, without a refund, if any participant does not meet the minimum skill level, is deemed to be skiing in a dangerous or reckless manner, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or fails to follow the safety rules of The Centres.
- Equipment and Clothing:
- Essential equipment (skis, boots, poles, and helmets) is either the responsibility of the client to bring, or is included with the purchase of a lift ticket from The Centres.
- Clothing such as jackets, ski pants, and gloves can be hired from The Centres for an additional fee. This is a separate transaction between you and the centre.
- Gradient Snowsport is not responsible for the provision, quality, or fit of any client-owned, or centre-provided equipment or clothing.
- Cancellation, Refunds, and Rescheduling Policy
This section outlines the terms for cancellations initiated by the client.
- Refunds: The refund amount is determined by the amount of notice you provide before the scheduled start time of your lesson.
- More than 14 days notice: Full Refund.
- Between 7 and 14 days notice: 75% Refund of the total booking fee.
- Between 48 hours and 7 days notice: 50% Refund of the total booking fee.
- Less than 48 hours notice: No Refund will be issued.
- No-Shows: Failure to attend your lesson at the scheduled time without any prior notice will result in the forfeiture of the entire booking fee.
- Rescheduling: We offer a one-time complimentary reschedule for your lesson, provided the request is made in writing via email at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled lesson start time. The new booking is subject to instructor availability.
- How to Cancel/Reschedule: All requests must be made in writing via email to info@gradientsnowsport.com. The notice period will be calculated from the timestamp of your sent email.
- Cancellations by the Instructor
- In the rare event that we have to cancel your lesson due to instructor illness, unsafe slope conditions, facility closure, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible.
- You will be offered the choice of either a full 100% refund or a reschedule to a new, mutually agreeable date at no extra charge.
- Punctuality, Arrivals and Late Policy
- We highly recommend arriving at the ski centre at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson’s start time. This allows for sufficient time to check in, collect lift tickets, and get changed and kitted up without rushing.
- If you are late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled end time. The lesson duration will not be extended, and no partial refund will be given. This is to ensure that subsequent lessons are not delayed.
- Limitation of Liability and Assumption of Risk
- Skiing is an inherently hazardous activity with risks including, but not limited to, falls, collisions, and injuries from natural or man-made objects. By booking a lesson, you voluntarily assume all such risks.
- While we are committed to providing a safe learning environment, Gradient Snowsport accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, except where caused by our proven negligence.
- You agree to follow all safety instructions from the instructor and abide by the rules and regulations of the specific ski centre you are attending.
- Data Protection and Privacy
- We are committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information you provide during booking will be used solely for the purposes of managing your booking, sending you relevant information about your lesson, and communicating with you.
